Gavin Semple Inaugural Inductee of the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Hall of Fame

At the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Hall of Fame induction ceremony held in Regina on June 17th , Gavin Semple was honoured as the inaugural inductee. The Saskatchewan Manufacturing Hall of Fame was established in 2014, to recognize the world-class contributions of a member of the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council, in the areas of leadership, business excellence, industry development, and community enhancement. It is the highest honour bestowed by Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters in Saskatchewan.
It was established by Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) and the Saskatchewan Manufacturing Council (SMC) in conjunction with RBC Royal Bank and RCAP Leasing. The inductee is chosen from a nomination based process, and the nominee's eligibility is determined by the following criteria:
- Has been associated with the manufacturing industry in Saskatchewan for a minimum ten years;
- Has been associated with a business, government body, educational institution, research facility, or membership organization with direct links to the manufacturing industry in Saskatchewan;
- Has made a significant contribution to the Saskatchewan manufacturing industry that has provided innovation, education, leadership, or influence both inside the organization and within the sector as a whole;
- Has demonstrated outstanding integrity through sound business practices and professional ethics
