The Brandt RTB100 & RTB115 raise the bar with exclusive hi-rail suspension systems that provide industry-leading safety and performance. Both models feature front and rear suspension that adapt to changing track geometry, improving rail engagement and stability for the operator.
Our AREMA-compliant hi-rail gear comes equipped with 10” rail wheels and dual 5.5” tapered roller bearings—engineered for long service life and maximum uptime.

Front Hi-rail Gear

The front rail gear features 3 locking positions: 1 for max ground clearance, 1 for max loader arm clearance, and 1 for riding the rail. The cushioned oscillating front axle accommodates variable track features such as switches, crossings and joints, ensuring safe and smooth operation while traveling on rail. Safety pins lock the front gear securely in place during rail travel.

Rear Hi-rail Gear

With 12” of ground clearance and automatic suspension, the rear hi-rail gear maintains consistent down pressure to ensure constant contact with the rail head, even through heaved crossings or self-guarded frogs at switches. The rear gear can be locked up and out of the way when working off rail.
