The straight boom and dipper-style (droop nose) arm are optimized for productivity in scrap, and steel hydraulic lines are used wherever possible to increase longevity.

A 20 kW generator comes standard on every BMH40A with an electrical supply line to the end of the stick. The quick-connect magnet electrical plug is protected to prevent damage.
