Brandt Sponsors Wellsford Fire Brigade with $10,000 Donation Towards New Support Vehicle

Wellsford residents can rely on a new operational support vehicle providing emergency services in their area.
The Wellsford Volunteer Fire Brigade has a team of 32 members—all volunteers—who respond to calls from the east cost and west coast of New Zealand. The Brigade has serviced the area for 84 years, providing support to keep their community safe.
"We at Brandt serve a strong agricultural community here in Northern New Zealand, and are proud to support those who risk their lives everyday to ensure our community is safe and are given the protection they need if an emergency were to occur,” said Lyndon Baird, Brandt Agriculture Director of Sales. “We are excited to be part of the Wellsford Fire Brigade team, and contribute to their mission in their new support vehicle."
"This sponsorship is a huge boost to our team as it will be helpful for our vehicle to reach remote areas that we service—bush, beach, and a variety of farmlands,” says Trevor Bowman, CFO – Wellsford Fire & Emergency New Zealand.
The donation is a part of the Brandt Thanks a Billion program, which has supported community initiatives and charities for over 12 years.
