Painting the Town Red and Green: Jarvis Light Up Receives $7500 Brandt Donation.
January 5, 2026
Every Christmas since 2020, the small town of Jarvis, Ontario, has gathered to light up their town and celebrate the holiday season for the Jarvis Light Up event. This year, Brandt was proud to join in the celebration by sponsoring the Midway carnival area, contributing $7500 to enhance the experience of all.
What began as a simple neighbourhood Christmas decorating contest has evolved into a yearly month-long celebration for the entire town. Themed neighbourhood displays and large-scale installations glow throughout Jarvis, radiating cheer and showcasing the creativity, generosity, and pride of the community.
While the event is a month-long celebration, there is always one big Jarvis Light Up day. This year, it was on Dec. 13, drawing visitors from across Haldimand County and beyond, with an estimated 12,000 people in attendance between 2 – 8:30 p.m. The Midway carnival area features rides, giveaways, free food, fireworks, and a live concert. With the donation and Brandt sponsorship, rides were free all evening long for kids of all ages.
The success of Jarvis Light Up has also brought national recognition to the town. In 2024, Jarvis was named the Coca Cola® Canada’s Kindest Community as part of the beverage company’s holiday contest. This nomination reinforced what Jarvis residents already knew: Jarvis is a place where kindness, collaboration, and community involvement shine bright.
Brandt’s sponsorship of the Jarvis Light Up event was made possible through the generous support of three of the company’s branches:
- Stoney Creek Construction & Forestry
- Stoney Creek Truck & Trailer
- Hagersville Truck & Trailer Branch
As part of the celebration, Brandt showcased a 589 Peterbilt truck and John Deere skid steer, both lit up with Christmas décor, giving attendees an opportunity to see industry-leading equipment up close while enjoying the festivities.
